Chinese formula “Alitgen” helps prevent Altitude Sickness
I just got back from Mono Lake in the Eastern Sierra in California. I’ve been there many times but this was the first trip that I didn’t experience nausea or get a massive headache the day I arrived or experience shortness of breath. All of this is thanks to a great Chinese herbal formula called “Altigen“.
Altigen contains HONG JING TIAN (RHODIOLA CRENULATA), XI YANG SHEN (AMERICAN GINSENG), DANG GUI (ANGELICA SINENSIS), SAN QI/TIAN QI (PANAX NOTO-GINSENG), HUANG QI (ASTRAGALUS ROOT), BAI ZHU (ATRACTALODES ROOT) and BAI HE (BROWN’S LILY BULB). This combination of these herbs:
works quickly to strengthen the body’s ability to handle high altitude activity. The adaptogenic herbs, American ginseng and rhodiola, are known in Chinese medicine to help the body effectively recover from stress (induced by exercise or activities at altitude) by binding oxygen to iron more efficiently, keeping the blood oxygenated.
According to the directions, I started taking Altigen a few days before my trip. I took it until I left high altitude. It’s such an amazing formula that I want to shout about it from the rooftops (maybe I should have sung about it on a mountain top). But I figure that blogging about it is a great way to reach more people.
If you or someone you know suffers from altitude sickness, tell them they don’t have to anymore. Get Altigen!
